About Us
Vision:
HELP’s vision is to one day see a world in which children from the most impoverished regions of the world can gain the skills they need to lift their families, their countries, and themselves out of poverty. We imagine a world where enthusiastic teachers educate students in safe, hygienic and dependable school buildings, regardless of how far they are from a major city or how little their school receives from outside funding. Most importantly, we envision a school as an institution that not only fosters students, but the leaders of tomorrow. We believe that through education, even the most impoverished people in the world have the ability to improve their own lives.
Mission:
Our mission is to promote sustainable primary education in impoverished African regions. We work toward this mission by utilizing a child-centered and integrated approach to sustainable development and continued education.
Our Founder:
After seeing first-hand the challenges children face on a day-to-day basis, Jillian Wolstein and her family were inspired to make a difference. In 2006, Jillian Wolstein founded HELP, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing Hope, Education, Love and Protection to children everywhere. HELP has established its current programs in Malawi, Africa, with an ultimate vision of carrying out our mission on a global level.
“Just one second with these amazing children and you will fall in love, as I did, forever. They become a part of your soul, heart, and inspiration for life. These children have lost so much, yet their hearts are filled with love and hope for the future. Together, we can return the love by giving hope, education, love and protection.”
