HELP Malawi Sponsers Fashion Show at Winds of Change
On May 24, 2008, HELP Malawi partnered with Winds of Change, a boutique in Chagrin Falls, Ohio to host a fashion show extravaganza. During the day, HELP Malawi set up a table where the team sold a variety of goods from Malawi. A few of the items featured were canvas photographs taken by Ilana Wolstein, as well as a variety of wooden goods that were all hand-carved and brought back from Malawi. A featured activity was “create your own African bracelet”, where guests were able to express their creativity in designing a bracelet using African Trade beads. At 7PM Winds of Change hosted their annual fashion show which featured uniquely designed dresses made out of the HELP Malawi shirts. At the conclusion of the show, each of the eight dresses was auctioned off and 100% of the proceeds were donated to HELP Malawi.
