African Aid and Educate Malawi

AFRICAN AID – Earlier this month, the non-profit Educate Malawi Inc. of West Springfield teamed up with HELP Malawi of Ohio and packed up five boxes of supplies and sent them to Pepper Pike, Ohio, as their first stop before continuing on to Malawi, Africa.
Supplies had been collected over the span of some months by Educate Malawi Inc. founders Karen Hardy, her husband Stephen and her daughter Shannon Massey. Karen and Shannon spent eight weeks in Malawi in the fall of 2007. They returned in October and by May of 2008 established Educate Malawi Inc.
After collecting the supplies they quickly realized the enormous cost to ship the supplies to Africa. They have teamed up with HELP Malawi to get the supplies to the country.
