Wound Care Clinic
As we move forward with unified healthcare and education, we acknowledge the importance of having a wound care clinic on the school grounds for wound care treatment. Untreated open wounds are common in the local communities, and often lead to serious infections, if not death. The wound care clinic was opened in March 2008, and is run everyday by the primary school headmaster, teachers, and the medically certified HELP team. The clinic gives immediate care to infections, illness, and, diagnose urgent needs by getting ill children to a hospital. It also provides ongoing skills training to the local staff involved, enabling them to increase their marketable medical skills.
